The National Fund for the Arts (FNA) has launched the call for entries for the 2023 National Architecture and Heritage Competition. The initiative focuses on the revitalization of disused industrial or service structures that can be repurposed today, serving as a testament to the past through new uses and functions.
The call is open to architects and interdisciplinary teams—both Argentine and foreign residents of the country—who have graduated within the last twenty years. Eligible submissions include completed works and rehabilitation projects for disused spaces and structures, such as train stations, silos, factories, mills, and other buildings that serve as historical testaments, whether public or private. Located within the national territory, these works and projects may vary in scale and must have the potential for reuse for cultural, educational, commercial, or healthcare purposes. Residential projects are excluded.
