Aiming to strengthen the link between constructive design practice in architecture and urbanism education and the private sector, we are pleased to invite you to participate in the first edition of the unique Student Ideas Competition for a Floating House – CIEF 01/2023.
The competition aims to encourage the development of nautical construction solutions that utilize sustainable and durable techniques, prioritizing lightweight materials with low environmental impact—an essential premise for any proposal involving occupation and navigation in a lacustrine environment. Furthermore, the design exercise seeks to foster debate regarding different ways of living, the relationship between the natural environment and the built space, and the potential for landscape transformation through human activity.
