The Capital City of Podgorica announces the Competition for the Conceptual Design for the Revitalization of the "Gorica Forest Park" Natural Monument in Podgorica.
Gorica Forest Park is the most important urban green area in Podgorica and one of the key elements of the city's identity. Rising directly above the central urban area, only a short distance from the main city square, Gorica functions as Podgorica's natural landmark, recreational landscape and ecological refuge. For generations, it has been used by citizens for walking, running, sport, recreation, education and contact with nature, while also containing important cultural and memorial layers. As a protected natural area affected by fire, ecological degradation and increasing urban pressure, Gorica represents a strategic site for rethinking the relationship between the city, its green infrastructure and long-term landscape resilience.
The subject of the competition is the development of a conceptual landscape and architectural design proposal for the revitalization of the area of the "Gorica Forest Park" Natural Monument in Podgorica. The conceptual design should provide a comprehensive vision for the development, spatial arrangement and use of the forest park, serving as a basis for detailed design development through main design documentation and phased implementation.
