Across Europe, craft is expanding beyond the workshop and into public health and community care. Co-hosted by Artex, this year's European Crafts Alliance (ECA) Annual Conference explores the critical intersection of making, social participation, and wellbeing.
A central highlight of the programme is the premiere of the ECA's highly anticipated study, Crafting Health and Wellbeing, conducted by the University of Eastern Finland. We will also hear from practitioners who are successfully integrating traditional crafts into professional recovery programmes, creating new career pathways for makers, and contributing to better health and wellbeing.
