Camposaz, in collaboration with Bivio980, is organizing a self-build workshop in Monastero, a small hamlet in the municipality of Cessapalombo (MC). The project aims to design and construct a few wooden installations that enhance the surrounding landscape and create shared spaces for community gathering.
Monastero is a village that has long suffered from depopulation, a condition further aggravated by the 2016 earthquake. The village is made up of about 70 houses, with fewer than 10 permanent residents throughout the year. However, during the summer months, the village comes back to life with the arrival of vacationers and travelers walking the Grande Anello dei Sibillini—a 120 km trekking route around the Sibillini Mountains—and the Cammino Francescano della Marca, a pilgrimage trail connecting Assisi and Ascoli Piceno.
