📌 Mircea cel Bătrân Square is the social and administrative center of Tulcea Municipality, easily accessible from all areas of the city and historically and spatially connected to the Danube waterfront.
The competition aims to achieve a quality contemporary redevelopment, in the context of the urban regeneration of the center and the strengthening of pedestrian links with the waterfront, through the pedestrianization of Unirii Street and the reconfiguration of the ”Trei Fântâni” area.
The participants are invited to provide solutions that respect the existing heritage and integrate diverse urban functions - housing, administration, commerce, food, leisure, culture and civic life - in a coherent and sustainable way.
