Founded in the memory of Professor Kurula Varkey, a former Director of the School of Architecture and a prominent figure in the institution’s pedagogical reforms, the forum brings together students from various architectural schools, academicians and practitioners from around the world.
The forum is a dialogue to understand the diverse directions emerging in the discipline of architecture through discussions that are organized around selected final-year student projects across South Asia.
In the past, the forum has been graced by personalities like BV Doshi, Lucien Kroll, Juhani Pallasmaa, Peter Rich, William Curtis, Charles Correa, Tatiana Bilbao, Channa Daswatte, Palinda Kannangara, to name a few. KVDF 2024 marks the 23rd year in continuing the legacy of the forum with an invigorated spirit to discuss, debate and delineate pressing questions in architecture today.
